Reading the NIFTY open interest charts
What is the NIFTY PCR?
The put-call ratio is the open interest of all NIFTY puts divided by all calls for the nearest expiry. Above 1 means more puts are open; traders often read rising put OI as support.
How is the build-up worked out?
From NSE's change in open interest for each F&O stock (futures and options, versus the previous day) and the stock's price change today.
How often does it update?
About every 5 minutes during market hours; after the close it shows the day's final figures.
