How the day closed on NSE, BSE and MCX.

The NIFTY 50 rose 1.58% to close at 23,810.85, and the SENSEX rose 1.62% to 76,917.85. NIFTY BANK rose 0.98% and India VIX ended at 15.72. Nifty FMCG was the best sector (3.65%) and Nifty PSU Bank the weakest (-1.27%). Across NSE, 1,680 stocks rose and 1,378 fell. Foreign investors were net buyers of ₹6,837 crore and domestic institutions net sellers of ₹3,679 crore.
