What is GIFT Nifty?
A NIFTY 50 futures contract traded at NSE International Exchange in GIFT City for about 21 hours a day. Before 9:15 am it shows where NIFTY is likely to open.
How is the expected gap worked out?
GIFT Nifty's latest price minus NIFTY's previous close. GIFT Nifty is a futures price, so it usually trades a little above the index; small differences mean a flat open.
