The NIFTY 50 rose 0.63% to close at 23,960.60, and the SENSEX rose 0.50% to 77,301.40. NIFTY BANK rose 0.67% and India VIX ended at 15.19. Nifty Media was the best sector (5.15%) and Nifty IT the weakest (-1.50%). Across NSE, 2,240 stocks rose and 826 fell.
