How the day closed on NSE, BSE and MCX.

The NIFTY 50 rose 2.40% to close at 24,536.60, and the SENSEX rose 2.60% to 79,310.01. NIFTY BANK rose 3.33% and India VIX ended at 15.58. Nifty Auto was the best sector (4.14%) and Nifty Media the weakest (-0.84%). Across NSE, 2,034 stocks rose and 1,038 fell. Foreign investors were net buyers of ₹14,975 crore and domestic institutions net sellers of ₹10,445 crore.
