How the day closed on NSE, BSE and MCX.

The NIFTY 50 rose 2.01% to close at 25,030.35, and the SENSEX rose 2.17% to 81,028.02. NIFTY BANK rose 2.27% and India VIX ended at 17.47. Nifty Private Bank was the best sector (3.22%) and Nifty Media the weakest (-1.52%). Across NSE, 1,186 stocks rose and 1,932 fell. Until 15:15 NIFTY traded between 24,440.05 (at 09:15) and 24,947.85 (at 15:08), and the closing session set the close above that range. Among larger companies, Symbiotec Pharmalab gained the most (20.00%) and Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works fell the most (-79.29%). Market mood read 71 (Greed), unchanged from 71.
